RED BERYL DOUBLE-TERMINATED PRISM WITH BIXBYITE NUCLEATION
Total weight:  1.075 carats

Here is a very rare red beryl specimen which features a double-termination.  This type of architecture can only occur when a crystal grows outward in two directions from a nucleation point, which in this case is a black bixbyite crystal.  The 'stairstep' termination on one end is also incredibly rare, and is published on page 46 of The Red Emerald Dictionary.  This specimen is well-formed, but very small, and fits into the standard 1 3/8" gem jar.

This piece has received no treatment and is offered in its natural state.

Shipping through USPS in a bubble mailer.
